Garden Tour :- Spice Garden

I have for the past few months introduce several new Gardens. But hey, are you sure you have visited all the gardens in Singapore? Ever heard of Fort Canning spice garden and her archaeological dig site?

Take a romantic walk with your love one, start from the ROM (the start all and end all place). Walk to the stairs which is the Spice Garden itself. Smell, touch and see (but do not pluck) the leaves and flower.

Learn from the exhibits the usage of different plant, example cat whisker which is good for lowering blood sugars.

Proceed up the steps to an Islam Holy site followed by some archaeological dig and learn what they have dug up there.

Why not at the same time visit Battle Box which is a stone throw away to complete your day at Fort Canning Park.

This walk is categorised under Garden Tour.

Educational Tour - Air Force Museum

Sorry for the delay. Down with a lousy flu this past few days. I am still sick but the blog cannot wait any longer.

Air force is a important part of any modern defense. In Air force Museum, you get to see the growth of Singapore Air force from the time when we first took over from Royal Air force (Part of British Army) to the Singapore Air force.

The visit to the Museum is either guided or free and easy. I will recommend a guided tour.

The guides are normally personnel who are retired Air force officer will give you interest tidbits and stories about the Air force that you will never know if you just walk around yourself (Guided tour is only available for groups and with booking).

In the Air force Museum, you can see real but retired airplanes, helicopters, missiles and even real cockpit.

In the second floor gallery, learnt about the history of the air force such as the uniforms they wore, their old office, air traffic control center (ATC).

Revell 1:100 F-16 Fighting FalconEnd your tour by buying your favourite airplane model in the model shop!

Garden Tour - Hillock Park (IPPT Park)

Oh man, today is one of those days in which I have to work like a dog! Delivering goods, going through accounts, arguing with supplying, bowing to customers...or is it the other way round. Whatever!

So to take a quick but I deserve it break, I decide to explore the new Individual Physial Proficiency Test (IPPT) garden (Hillock Park) in Bukit Purmei that has been opened recently.

What is so great about the Hillock Park, you asked? Well the it is great due to the following factors:-

1) The IPPT station are clearly marked out. Example, Standarding Broad Jump, Shuttle Run and 2.4 Km run;

2) The tracks offer a much better view as compare to a boring stadium.

3) The trees overhead offer shelter from the unbearable heat this few days.

4) There is a swing within the garden. The swing is within a playground which I discover only after I have swung the swing for 15 mins that this playground can only be used by kids 5 - 12 years old. So how about big kid like me!!

Take a look at the pictures below to get a sense of what the Hillock park can offer you.

This location will be classified under Garden Tour.
