Warehouse Tours

Welcome to the main landing page for warehouse tours. In Singapore (and I believe most part of the world with high population density) warehouses are own by distributors, redistributors or manufacturers.

By buying products from distributors, redistributors or manufacturers instead of direct retailers give us an opportunity to purchase at an discount. In addition, we will be offered a deeper depth of products related to that particular genre of goods to choose from (Disadvantage is that other types of goods will not be sold and we need to do warehouse hoping!)

At warehouse tour series in line with our blog objective, we seek to introduce to readers places that are opened permanently or at least hold warehouse sales for more than 4 weeks, instead of those warehouse sales that last for 3 or 4 days only. Hopefully, this tour can offer buyers (both tourist and locals) a different kind of shopping experience in Singapore while creating a win-win situation of creating demand to our dearest suppliers (the warehouse owners or leasor).

The following are links to different posts in the blog that offer warehouse tours (as a side note. some post will be overlapped in other landing sites. Chinese New Year Part 8 - Vegetable wholesale in a farm

As you guys read through the blog, you may be wondering why most of the places relate to food or a derivation of food products? Well to those not in the loop, Singaporeans love food.

In this festive session we have made the effort to introduce more places that sell food and products that are relevant to Chinese New Year. Once February starts, we will start to introduce places that are deemed to be more educational in nature!

In a nice continuance from the previous post, we will be introducing a vegetable wholesale center that resides right in a farm! The vegetables sold are harvested daily from the farm itself; you cannot get any fresher vegetables than that!

The Vegetable Gardener's Bible (10th Anniversary Edition)Situated in Lim Chu Kang, the vegetables so gathered are then sold at dirt cheap pricess. For me (who does not cook) I am especially attracted to their wheat grass drinks, mango jelly and the giant fishes kept in the tank!

Also found in this vegetable farm are gigantic fishes called Arapaima gigas or Dragon Fish in local terms. It is almost two metres long. Take a look in the picture below. For more info on this fish see this Wikipedia entry.

Vegetable wholesale in a farm is classified as part of Farm Tours.
